A café with a personal story.
I’m Geoffrey Arbuckle. I own Fountain City Café, and we opened in 2025 to serve the people who work in and visit the Richard Bolling Federal Building.
I’m blind, and I operate the café as a licensed vendor through Missouri’s Business Enterprise Program. For me, this place is about everyday hospitality: a good cup of coffee, a warm welcome, and a little calm in your day.
Parisi’s specialty coffee is roasted here in Kansas City, with Italian roots and a love of sharing a good cup. Our Eversys Cameos freshly grind the beans and carefully control the espresso pour for rich, balanced flavor. Pair it with a delicious pastry made from scratch by Scratch KC, and a quick stop becomes a little pleasure in your day.

Good service is personal here. Our managers and baristas are here to help you find something you’ll enjoy, whether you know your order by heart or want to try something new. We love remembering a regular’s name, sharing a smile, and making time to listen. Those everyday conversations help this little café feel like your café. Fair warning: we will ask how your weekend was, and we will actually listen.
